When we talk about Piasentina stone, we are talking about a truly rare and exclusive material. This calcareous stone can in fact be found only in a small area of the Julian Pre-Alps, in a mountain complex located in the easternmost part of Italy, about a hundred kilometers from the Venice lagoon.
In nature, Piasentina stone occurs in shapeless boulders of unpredictable dimensions. It has a medium-fine grain, with a color in which gray and brown tones prevail, embellished with crystalline white veins and shades tending towards brown. Only thanks to the experience of its quarry and laboratory masters, CUDICIO Pietra Piasentina is able to offer a selected material of the highest quality. Polished, Honed and Brushed finishes are not suitable for outdoor flooring due to the particular sensitivity of the finish that makes it impossible to ensure maintenance of its original brilliance over time.
Customer care will be needed to maintain the installed surfaces. It is recommended to consider whether to perform, always by a competent specialist, also a non-stain hydro-repellent oil type protective treatment.
Do not use acid-based products for cleaning. For periodic cleaning of surfaces, we recommend using water only, possibly adding neutral detergents. In case of special stains, it is helpful to turn to experienced staff that can provide precise indications on products and usage.
Adhesives or mortar can be used for installation, remembering that being it a natural stone, it can have both granulometric and chromatic variability.
